Plastic Free TP

My kids are at the age where they find anything to do with toilets absolutely hilarious (they seem to have been going through this phase for a long time with no sign of it diminishing) so a large box with the words ‘nice bum’ written on it arriving at the door causes great excitement! I’ve been ordering loo roll from Who Gives A Crap for about a year now and have no plans to stop. I dithered about it for ages as I was worried about the cost – with two small children we seem to get through A LOT of loo roll – but I spent an evening working out the cost per sheet compared with our usual toilet paper and some other brands and the WGAC stuff worked out the cheapest.

I get the boxes of 48 double length recycled paper rolls and they’ve been just fine. They definitely last longer than a regular sized roll and whilst the paper is slightly thinner than some (especially the quilted loo roll) it does the job! When they first arrive it feels like there are loads to store bu with a bit of decluttering and rearranging we’ve managed to get them stored away ok.

When I first started thinking about getting the WGAC loo rolls I found some negativity on the internet about the fact that they’re shipped over from China. Whilst that’s not ideal I like the fact that they’re recycled – which I’ve found hard to find in the supermarkets – there’s no plastic packaging, and they donate 50% of their profits to charities like Water Aid and Sanergy.
